Flyin Highh was created in collaboration with Heather S., a fellow artist Gangwani admired during high school. After having a few classes together, he reached out to her during the early days of college...looking to connect and create without overthinking. At the time, Gangwani didn’t fully see himself as an artist, but this piece marked a turning point. It was about experimenting, building energy with someone else, and letting creativity take the lead.
The painting began with a layered background, then evolved through an open, freestyle process. As the composition unfolded, a bird form started to emerge, unplanned but powerful. The final piece shows a massive bird soaring from an under-perspective, symbolizing movement and momentum. Real feathers were incorporated into the work, adding physical texture and a tangible connection to nature.
This piece represents the early stages of Gangwani’s creative expression and the joy of making something real in the moment, without rules or expectations.
