"CORINTHIAN"

Created during Gangwani’s third year of college for a scenic painting class, this massive piece was born from a desire to break routine. While the prop students were assigned to create standard Ionic columns, Gangwani chose to take on the more complex Corinthian style, typically reserved for scenic painters in the course. At that point, he was tired of repeatedly painting egg-and-dart motifs and wanted to challenge himself with something more intricate.

Working from a small-scale sketch, he carefully drafted the design and added a personal twist to the central floral detail. The drawing process alone took nearly eight hours, requiring patience and precision at a larger scale. Though the painting phase moved quickly, the piece represents a quiet challenge, both a study in form and a refusal to settle into creative repetition.

Bold enough to anchor a room, Subtle enough to belong at the end of any hallway, yet bold enough to be noticed.
