Before I Go was created during Gangwani’s senior year of high school as a reflection of the final moments before a major transition. Inspired by Willem de Kooning, the piece blends personal memories into abstract visuals. The yellow bridge symbolizes road trips to Pittsburgh to visit his brother. On the left, vibrant colors represent the motorcycles he rode during that time. At the center is a reference to an Off-White belt, marking the beginning of his interest in designer fashion and creating his own clothing. The soft pink flowers against a dark background echo the dress worn by his prom date. Together, these elements form a visual patchwork of a year filled with movement, emotion, and self-discovery.
