Sunday Morning

Positions held: Production Designer, Props Director, Set Dresser - April 2022 

This was a three-day shoot in collaboration with Bailey James. A coming of age story set in 1957, following a free spirited young girl and a deacon’s son as they redefine what freedom looks like to them. This was a time-period challenge that turned into a really fun set. From shooting dancing scenes to real deep connections.  All props had to be time specific down to the 1950’s Winston Cigarette Lighter, matches, and even the magazine issue.

Working here, Gangwani obtained the practical skill sets pertaining to the construction of tailored items. Here he learned Industrial sewing, patterning, notching, and making precision cuts with saws, blades, shears. Working with an array of materials like leather, cowhides, vinyl and more. Experience with automotive/aircraft interiors, commercial seating, dental chairs, fitness equipment, medical exam tables and equipment.

Here Gangwani learned the foundations of proper shoe breakdowns, the processes of resoling, recorking, trimming heels, Goodyear Welting, and the proper way to shine shoes. Gangwani has completed over 100 pairs of Goodyear Welts & has done a full restoration to a pair of Adidas Ultraboost.
